4 months! Just 4 months away from the 2021 Farm Progress Show held here in Decatur on the grounds of Progress City USA (just north of Richland Community College). The 2020 show in Iowa was a COVID cancellation, so everyone is extra-super-excited about this year's show. (Hmmmmm...... on second thought, I guess those in Iowa who missed the opp to host the 2020 FPS might not be so "extra-super-excited" about losing their turn.) All sorts of exciting times straight ahead in 2021 for Decatur's Nelson Park! Overlook Adventure will open back up soon, so get ready to putt and climb (NOTE: 2 separate activities conducted at 2 separate times 🙂) And...... The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater returns after the shot-to-hell COVID season of 2020. And brand-new for 2021....... SPLASH COVE waterpark will finally open after 18 or so months of delays! And of course, don't forget The Beach House for some delicious dining in one of Decatur's historic structures. These are really exciting times for a rejuvenated and constantly-evolving Nelson Park!
