Decatur CAT Album 1

Caterpillar's history in Decatur goes way back to 1942 when its' military engine facility was located on 22nd Street.  (This was in the "Signal Depot" facility that eventually became Firestone).

In 1955, CAT moved operations just a little to the northeast at the corner of Pershing and 27th Street.
